Abstract

Shipbuilding projects are highly complex and require effective planning, scheduling, and control to ensure timely project completion. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the S-Curve method for monitoring progress and identifying delays in the construction project of the FLEX FIGHTER MAX 40M Vessel (H599), implement the Critical Path Method (CPM) using Microsoft Project to determine critical activities that affect project completion time, and develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to systematically organize project tasks. The research employs a case study approach with a descriptive quantitative method through the analysis of project progress data, WBS development, S-Curve generation, and project scheduling using Microsoft Project. The results indicate that the S-Curve method is effective in monitoring project progress and identifying deviations between planned and actual progress, making it a valuable tool for project evaluation and control. The implementation of CPM successfully identified critical-path activities that directly influence the overall project duration. Furthermore, the application of WBS effectively decomposed the project scope into structured work elements, facilitating project control, responsibility allocation, and the estimation of duration and resource requirements. The integration of the S-Curve, CPM, and WBS methods has proven to enhance the effectiveness of project planning, time control, and progress monitoring in shipbuilding projects, thereby supporting more measurable and efficient project completion.
