Sentosa Jaya adalah perusahaan yang fokus pada ritel kebutuhan rumah tangga dan produk makanan. Bagian penting dari operasional ritel adalah susunan tata letak dan ruang display produk. Kami memilih PT. Sentosa Jaya sebagai subjek penelitian untuk mengevaluasi jika ada ketidakpastian pada aktivitas di toko dengan ruang terbatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan pengujian dan verifikasi terhadap tata letak yang ada di PT. Sentosa Jaya menggunakan metode Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) dan Total Closeness Rating (TCR). Berdasarkan hasil ARC, ruang display mendapat prioritas sebagai fasilitas utama karena memperoleh skor TCR tertinggi, yakni 122. Maka, penting untuk memposisikan fasilitas lain yang bernilai A tinggi berdekatan untuk memperlancar operasional. Tata letak yang strategis dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan ruang, tenaga kerja, dan peralatan. The type of research was conducted quantitatively with 3 operators consisting of 2 welding operators and 1 welding helper operator. Welding operators work every day and in making orders it takes approximately 20 days to one month which is done manually. The stages in this study: collection of demographic data, data analysis using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and photos of operator activities. Based on data processing and analysis in this study, it was concluded that: Operator 1 (Sulfian) obtained a RULA score of 5, Operator 2 (Saeroji) and Operator 3 (Lucky) obtained a RULA score of 4. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi lini produksi pada produk Stormio di PT Simatelek Batam dengan menerapkan konsep Lean Manufacturing menggunakan metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM).Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tahapan Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) untuk mengidentifikasi masalah utama, menganalisis penyebab pemborosan, serta merancang dan menerapkan langkah-langkah perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menghilangkan proses inventaris setelah tampo printing dan melakukan relayout ruang produksi, terjadi pengurangan waiting Time dari 7.200 detik menjadi nol, serta peningkatan efisiensi lini produksi dari 73% menjadi 97%. Selain itu, waktu kerja efektif meningkat dari 350 menit menjadi 465 menit per hari. Kesimpulannya, penerapan Lean Manufacturing dengan metode VSM terbukti mampu mengidentifikasi dan mengurangi pemborosan dalam proses produksi, meningkatkan efisiensi, serta mendukung pencapaian target Output perusahaan. To address this issue, an automatic clothes drying system was designed based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller, utilizing a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor and a rain sensor. The LDR sensor detects sunlight intensity, while the rain sensor identifies the presence of rain. When sufficient sunlight is detected and no rain is present, the system activates a DC motor to automatically extend the clothesline. Conversely, if rain is detected or sunlight intensity decreases, the DC motor retracts the clothesline into a sheltered area. The objectives of this research are to (1) Protect clothes from getting wet due to sudden rainfall; (2) Optimize the drying process by utilizing sunlight intensity; (3) Reduce manual intervention in the drying process, providing convenience for users who are frequently away from home. System testing demonstrated that the device effectively responds to weather changes, thereby protecting clothes from rain and maximizing drying during sunny conditions.
